Navira began with a simple belief: that the threads of heritage could be woven into the fabric of everyday life. Born from the passion to preserve India’s traditional handcrafts while meeting the needs of modern sensibilities, Navira stands at the intersection of craft, culture, and conscious living.
Our roots lie in Odisha’s rich weaving communities— where skill and tradition pass from generation to generation, often through the hands of women. With every weave, Navira brings these timeless stories to today’s world: wearable, versatile, and filled with purpose.
From Bitiyaa to Navira
Before Navira, there was Bitiyaa—an initiative dedicated to empowering young girls through education by providing books, uniforms, and scholarships. While Bitiyaa made an impact, we realised true empowerment must be sustainable.
Navira grew from this understanding. We shifted from charity-driven models to a commercial platform that creates lasting livelihoods—offering women artisans consistent income, respect, and visibility through their extraordinary craft.
Today, every Navira creation continues that spirit of empowerment—helping artisans build futures, not just dreams.
